The Alaiz quarry has 30 years' experience in extracting and treating very high-quality limestone.

The facility has a gallery and a chimney for transporting material from the extraction site to the treatment plant; this reduces vehicle traffic, dust emissions and fuel consumption.

The aggregate obtained has an average calcium carbonate content of 98% and a Los Angeles Coefficient of less than 25%. This provides very diverse products, from armour stone for slope contention to filler, subbase and base granular layers, aggregate for bituminous mixtures, concrete and mortar, and minerals for the animal feed industry.
