Revaluation Waste

Some waste cannot be recycled or reused. The Cementos Portland Valderrivas Group offers an alternative that prevents having to send this waste to landfills and brings cost reductions and minimized impact and emissions into the bargain.

At our factories we use waste as alternative fuels or replacements for other raw materials.

  • Energy from Waste. Alternative Fuels

     

    “Energy from Waste” or “EfW” means a portion of the fossil fuels used to make cement is replaced by fuel made from waste. After more than 40 years’ experience at using waste to create energy, the European Union supports EfW at cement factories. The European Commission highlights the use of waste as fuel at cement factories as one of the best efficiency practices there is, because it reduces CO2 emissions and energy costs and provides an environmentally sound solution to waste. more information  

  • Recycling/Reuse of Materials. Alternative Raw Materials

    Waste from other industrial processes can be reused as raw materials in the production of rawmix or cement, as a replacement for natural raw materials more information
