Hormisec Ligero

Low-density, highly-insulating dry concrete.

Light dry bricklaying mortar for applications requiring light materials and/or thermal insulation. Suitable for:

  • Flooring mortar.
  • Terraces.
  • Roofs.
  • Floor slabs.
Scope of application

Non-structural applications requiring light materials and/or thermal insulation. Particularly suitable for floors, terraces and roofs. Improves thermal and acoustic insulation.

Supply conditions

Bagged (15 l. bags).

Mixing instructions

Bagged HORMISEC LIGERO should be mixed in a cement mixer. Add 3.5 litres of water per bag of mortar (0.2 l/kg). Extra water will impair the concrete quality; mix a minimum of one bag.

Mix to obtain a smooth consistency. Use HORMISEC LIGERO within about 90 minutes of mixing. Do not use the product at an ambient temperature below 5ºC or above 35ºC.

HORMISEC LIGERO undergoes quality control testing in line with the Spanish Structural Concrete Instruction (EHE).

HORMISEC dry concrete is produced in plants certified for the production of industrial dry mortar by AENOR, under its Quality Assurance System.

The data is based on trials performed in our control laboratory and is the result of extensive experience with the products made by the Cementos Portland Valderrivas Group. Variations in working conditions on site may lead to changes in performance.


Store in a dry place, protected from frost and direct sunlight. If properly stored, the product may be used up to 12 months after manufacture.


This product contains cement. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, and do not inhale the dust. Use rubber gloves and goggles when handling. Keep out of reach of children.
