Valsec M- Hidrocal

Mortar made from natural hydraulic lime (NHL) and graded aggregate, with no admixtures or cement. Natural, highly permeable and thixotropic, bactericidal. VALSEC M-Hidrocal mortar is available in the following varieties:




Indoor and outdoor use

Scope of application

Restoration and refurbishment of old buildings: castles, churches, farmhouses, etc. Lime-based rendering and parging, restoration, pointing, and construction of stone, brick or block walls.

Bagged (25 kg. bags).



Mixing instructions

Bagged VALSEC M-HIDROCAL mortar should be mixed in a cement mixer. Add 4 litres of water per bag of mortar (0.16 l/kg). Mix to obtain a smooth consistency. VALSEC M-HIDROCAL proyect can be applied using a spray gun.

Substrate preparation

The substrate must be clean and dampened. Do not apply over old paint, gypsum or crumbling surfaces without first treating them.

Spread in individual courses of 10-20 mm. Apply a new course while the underlying course is still fresh, until the desired thickness is attained. Never apply more than 40 mm. Finish by power-troweling once the mortar is hard enough. After 24 hours, dampen the entire surface for optimal setting.

VALSEC masonry mortars are produced in industrial dry mortar plants with quality assurance systems certified by AENOR in accordance with the UNE EN ISO 9001 standard. The data is based on trials performed in our control laboratory and is the result of extensive experience with the products made by the Cementos Portland Valderrivas Group. Different conditions on site may lead to variations in some of the data.


Bagged VALSEC ENFOSCAR should be stored in a dry place, protected from frost and direct sunlight. When stored adequately, it may be used for up to 12 months from the date of manufacture.


This product contains cement. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, and do not inhale the dust. Use rubber gloves and goggles when handling. Keep out of reach of children.
